| Eduardo González
Machado studied advertising at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York
City and began his advertising career as a copywriter for Siboney Advertising
in Puerto Rico. After his Siboney experience, Eduardo joined McCann Erickson
Advertising, also in Puerto Rico, serving as a creative account executive
and team member for Del Monte Foods, Coca-Cola, General Motors and other
clients. While in New York, Eduardo worked at Caballero Radio Network, the leading Spanish language radio network in the United States at that time. Working with Caballero gave Eduardo the opportunity to learn and consider the subtle differences inherent to the highly diverse U.S. Hispanic population, especially when working on multiple Hispanic markets with different ethnic compositions. In 1994, Eduardo joined ADVO, Inc., the largest direct marketing company in the United States. While working in their Miami offices, he utilized sophisticated geographic and lifestyle segmentation targeting techniques to help clients such as Zubi Advertising, Advantage Sales & Marketing, and Long Distance International reach the local and national Hispanic market with innovative direct mail programs. In 1998, he received recognition as the top national producer for the company. Eduardo left ADVO after five very successful years, and continues to enjoy the excellent business relationships with many U.S. Hispanic advertising agencies and national clients. Eduardo has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Miami Beach, and has presented best practices at the Florida Direct Marketing Association Conference and the Dallas Direct Marketing Association Conference. During the year 1999, Eduardo held the title of Regional Sales Manager for quepasa.com, the nation’s premiere Internet portal targeting the U.S. Hispanic population. This new experience introduced Eduardo to Hispanic advertising on the Internet and gave him a firsthand opportunity to see what worked, as well as, what did not. more back |
